SOUTH AFRICAN BRAAI IN ROSARY HOUSE

Sisters in unity gathered together
Sunshine, blue skies, Oh what fine weather!
Outside seated on couches and chairs
Some at table, some unaware.

The chatter, the laughing,
just having fun
Under South African skies
we are one.

Apple juice, grapetizer,
beer and wine
Sets the tone on couches recline.

The meat on the grid,
lamb chops and chicken,
not forgetting the boerewors
The salads and gerkin.

Variety of salads, beetroot and coleslaw
A delight to the pallet
Coming back for more

The garlic bread, served in tin foil
Wrapped with love
A delightful spoil

Potatoes roasted,
a feast for the eyes
Blended with spices, a delicious disguise

This is Dominican joy at its best
The nuts and crisps,
Oh yes, we are blessed.

To have each other, be one in Community
This is Christ ‘s love to share in unity.
The unseen guest at table
He sits
As He breaks bread for us, one can’t resist

Fine company adds to the joy we just had
For the Eucharist was shared
In the breaking  of bread.
