A Special Outing for our Belfast Sisters.
This week, some of our Sisters from St Catherine’s, Belfast enjoyed a memorable visit to Holy Family Parish, where Fr Michael Spence shared the remarkable story of the bronze doors originally created for the Church of the Resurrection on Cavehill Road.
The beautiful relief sculpture by Carolyn Mulholland depicts the Risen Christ appearing to Thomas, with the words “My Lord and My God” and “Peace Be With You” a powerful reminder of faith renewed. The Sisters were moved to reach out and touch the figures, connecting with both the artwork and its deep spiritual meaning.
Following the presentation, the group enjoyed tea and scones together, a time of fellowship and conversation.
We are grateful to Fr Michael for his warm hospitality and for preserving this important piece of our local church history.
It was a lovely outing for the community, and the sisters really enjoyed the visit.
