We are delighted to be involved in this Africa Europe Faith and Justice Network (AEFJN) webinar on 21st October. The webinar looks at the impact of cuts to global Overseas Development Aid on African countries. We’ll hear from a religious Sister in Kenya on the devastating impact of cuts in funding to the health clinic she works in. We will also look at practical actions being taken by local groups to help their communities. The issue will be examined through the lens of Doughnut Economics, a sustainable economic model that aims to balance the needs of people and the needs of the planet. Lara Kelly from our Congregation Justice Office will present on the Doughnut Economics work going on in a number of African countries. This October around the world, people are coming together to look at Doughnut Economics for a Global Doughnut Day festival from 14th to 17th October and we hope that you can join us for this webinar on 21st October.
