26 Oct- 7 Dec Wednesdays 10.30am-12 noon  €70 6 Weeks
Module Description
“… feel the wind on your face and the warm sun on your hand”. If this is what the Buddha has to say, how might other religions perceive and relate to nature? This module will open some little windows to offer a glimpse into richer traditions: from the Big Bang to Jewish food blessings, to the Dominican Albert the Great, to the sacred and the worldly in Zen Buddhism, and to knowing yourself in the Muslim tradition.

Let’s Talk Synod 2John Scally
10th Nov- 8 Dec Thursdays 7pm-8.30pm
Module Description

The Irish Church’s new synodal pathway has been running for a year. This series takes stock of progress to date and considers how the Synod might offer new opportunities for transformation and renewal. At the heart of the module are these two central questions: ‘What is God saying to the Irish Church at this time?’ and ‘How are we to journey together as a Church in the present and the future?’ It will feature contributions from Bishop Brendan Leahy and Nathalie Becquart XMCJ (Vatican General Secretariat for the Synod of Bishops).

Joy to the World: Celebrating Christmas with Bach
Kieran O’Mahony OSA
28th Oct – 9th Dec Fridays 10.30am – 12 Noon
Module Description

The Christmas Oratorio of Bach is really six closely connected cantatas, each focussing on a significant moment in the birth stories of Jesus from the Gospels. Our module will devote one day to each component cantata, playing close attention not only to the music but also to the interpretative ‘lens’ of both text and music.
