On the 18th April, the Lay Dominicans in the Western Cape of South Africa convened for an Easter Retreat at the Mimosa Shrine in Belville, led by Sr. Columbia Fernandez OP, the Spiritual Promoter for the Lay Dominicans in the Western Cape. The theme of the Retreat was RISING WITH THOMAS – ENCOUNTERING THE RISEN CHRIST. The day was divided into three sessions: Session 1: Thomas’ doubt vs Christ’s mercy; Session 2: Resurrection and the Call to Preach; and Session 3: Living the Resurrection. The Retreat also featured Benediction. The event was highly successful, with positive feedback from participants, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
