We are delighted that the work of creating the Le Chéile Dominican Sisters Congregational video is now complete and ready to share .
This work began in a number of months ago and it was our intention from the start to offer each school in the Dominican tradition the opportunity to be an intrinsic part of the recording. We are the sum of all our parts, and we believe that this recording is the richer for having such cooperation and camaraderie evident from start to finish.
We thank you, the principals, the teachers and mentors who were involved, the students from our schools who took part , the Dominican Sisters, our archivist David Gunning, our musical director Patricia Feighery and the videographer Paul Harney and his team. We had many people involved during the day of recording in Cabra and we thank those who helped on that day.
We see this recording as a help to you, your staff, and the school in general. There is always the risk that valuable historical information could be lost, so having this recording helps you share the history of the Cabra Dominican Sisters and the schools with all the stakeholders. The video is not just about the history of the Congregation however but portrays also the ethos and value systems that make up what a Dominican school is, and we see this clearly through all the clips and examples which the schools submitted to be included.
The video is available (in both high and low resolution) at the following link.
